Street Art in San Jose

Street Art in San Jose

Arriving in San Jose we had booked a transfer through the hotel, otherwise it seemed hectic with Taxi/Bus offers from what felt like hundreds of people.

We arrived at Kap's Place, a lovely (very colourful hotel) in San Jose. It was homely and nice. Due to a long day of travel we opted to stay in and dine in the hotel restaurant - Kap's Cafe! We enjoyed a Chicken Burger and an early night...

Up early (silly body clock) we wandered to the city, via National Park which is small but has a significant statue and some cute features/statues/benches/bridges and some lovely trees.

Into town we spent our day doing various tourist activities, grabbing breakfast in Zuppa and waiting for things to open (we were in town very early!)

We visited the main pedestrianised street, the post office, national theatre, monument to a farmer, the central church and cathedral and the museum which combined a money, art and gold museum which kept us amused for a while.

Then we wandered back to National Park in search of Maza Cafe Bistro after seeing some photos of their food on Instagram. It is located at the top of National Park next to the Parque Hostel and it's worth finding!

They serve Costa Rican dishes, we had a mixed plate which included Pork, Plantain, Scrambled Egg, Rice with Beans, Cheese and Bread. I can also highly recommend the Sangria and the fluorescent pink Dragonfruit Mimosa!
